Picual olive oil stands out for its bitterness and great taste, which counteracts with the point of itching that Castelanotti Oils get as it is a very young oil.
We collect it early, so we also get strong aromas of fresh grass, tomatoes and others.

This is achieved thanks to the fact that we control 100% of the production process, from our fields to the Almazara San Andrés, our mill where we grind all the varieties of oil we produce.

Características del aceite Picual

100% picual oil has a high content of oleic acid and very low levels of polyunsaturated acids, which makes it especially stable and very resistant to high temperatures and direct exposure to the light. For these reasons it is highly appreciated in the coupages, for providing stability to other more productive varieties.

Its high content of polyphenols also makes it especially healthy, helping to prevent arterial blockage and reduce cholesterol by its oleic acid.

Picual olive oil consumption

Because it has such a powerful flavor, it is especially recommended to take as a dressing, without adding vinegars or other products, for example on vegetables with little flavor.
It is also recommended to take breakfast, not only for its flavor that is perfect with toast, but also for its health benefits.
